Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine’s Day!! The weather has been very nice around here lately. I think we might have an early spring even though it is raining and wet today later this week it is suppose to get in the 60’s. Last week Nick had a day off from school and Scott had bought me a new camera and so I took the kids outside to try to take some Valentine’s Day pictures. They aren’t my favorite but is what I got. We aren’t going to be doing too much for Valentine’s Day. Nick had a Valentine’s Day party at school on Friday and Nick and Allie opened their Valentine’s Day gifts this morning.

Chinese New Year

Last weekend we went to the Chinese New Year. 2010 will be the year of the Tiger. We had a really fun day and it gives the kids a chance to wear their Chinese outfits. Actually I have been having Allie wear her skirts with a lot of outfits lately I think it looks really cute especially the red one around Valentine’s Day.
Allie enjoyed everything but the dancing lions and drumming. Nick was very interested in the raffle drawing they were doing and kept checking the bag for Nintendo DSI to see how many tickets were in the bag. No he didn’t end up winning it but wasn’t to disappointed.

Allie's Birthday

I am going to post a little bit more about Allie’s birthday . She is now officially 3 years old and had the best 3 year old birthday ever. She was so excited about her birthday last year she didn’t have a clue what was really going on. All she wanted for her birthday was for everyone to sing Happy Birthday to her. It is amazing how much she has changed this last year she has come so far. She loved going to Gymnastic Gym and still talks about jumping on the trampoline and her teacher. They did a great job and it was a fun party. I can’t believe she even went on the swing, sometimes she likes them and sometimes she won’t go any where near them .



















We then went out for pizza and she even ate a little bit of cake. I think it was the hardest cake I have ever had to cut but at least it tasted okay just didn’t look very pretty.











On her actual birthday Scott stayed home from work and so she got to spend the day with Daddy also which was wonderful for her. She ask every night if he has to go to work the next day and looks forward to the weekends. When she woke up she opened some of her presents and than we went to the Zoo. It was a beautiful day the Zoo is usually really cold and windy but today it was not. I was a little worried about her wearing pink and white to the Zoo but she didn’t get her dress dirty at all and can probably wear it again next year.




















We tried to go out to dinner but I think Allie had had enough of birthday fun for one day and ended up having to enjoy her birthday dinner in the car. When we got home Uncle Ben, Aunt Becky, and Harlow came over to wish her Happy Birthday she had a hard time sharing with Harlow but did let her sit in her new car.
