Catch Up and Haunted Trail
I have been so busy lately that I have no time to blog any more. Life here has been crazy and maybe by the time I catch up on the blog I will have good news and things will be going better for us. October was a very busy month and so I am going to try to catch up. One thing we did this fall that was really fun was the Haunted Trail. We had taken Nick last year at night and he liked it but I think it would have been still to scary for Allie. This year we decided we were going to try to go during the day and see if Allie liked it. She did I think it would have been to scary to take her at night to see it but during the day she did great. I would like to try to take them to it again at Christmas time when it becomes the Christmas Trail.

Field Trip
Nick had his first field trip of the year. They went to Downtown Portland and went on a tour of the history of Portland. He was so excited that his Dad got to go on the field trip with his class. So far he is really enjoying the 3rd grade and it looks like they are going to be going on alot of field trips this year.
Spending time with Dad.
Scott's 120 days at Home Depot are up now and so we have him home more. I think that someone is happy to be spending more time with his Dad.

Pumpkin Patch
Last weekend we went to our 1st pumpkin patch of the year. It was suppose to rain in the afternoon and so we went in the morning. Last year we ran out of time and didn’t make it to this pumpkin patch and I am glad we got a chance to go this year. They had so many activities for the kids to do. We didn’t have time to do everything because it started to rain and Allie was getting tired. We did get to do a hay ride, jump in the bouncy houses, pet the animals, ride the bug train, watch a car get smashed by a pumpkin, eat apple donuts and go on a zip line swing. Allie’s favorite thing was the bug train and Nick’s favorite thing was the zip line swing.

Happy Birthday Kayla!
Last weekend Nick and Allie were invited to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. We had not been to Chuck E Cheese in a couple of years. Nick and Allie had been wanting to go all summer and we just didn’t make it and so they were very excited about celebrating Kayla birthday. They both had a really good time and Allie would like to have her birthday there also. We will have to wait and see. Thank you for inviting us to your 3rd Birthday Kayla we had a great time.
Library
One thing that I love about fall is going to the library. It is such a cozy place especially when the weather is cold outside. I also love story time at the library in the fall. When we went last week we made leaf necklaces and I am looking forward to making spider hats in a couple of weeks. This is the last year we are going to be able to go to story time and I am going to miss it. I have been going for the last 7 years not every week and we have had periods of times when we haven’t gone for a few months for one reason or another. The kids and I have always had a good time at the library and I hope that both of them will remember these times and always have a love for reading.
Another fun thing that we do a lot more of in the fall our crafts. I have a big box of fall and Halloween crafts set out and Nick and Allie will periodically go to it and find some sort of craft they want to do. Last week it was the pumpkin faces. I still need to take down there summer decorations and put up some fall ones maybe this weekend we can work on it.

Best Soccer Game
Welcome to October and what a crazy month it is going to be. It is one of my favorite months but it just is packed of fun activities none of which I want to give up. Nick had a soccer game yesterday. I hadn’t taken many pictures of him before or at his soccer games and so I tried to take a few before and during the game. It is really hard to get good pictures of him during the game I can get good pictures of other peoples kids just not my own. He is enjoying soccer a lot this year but is the youngest on the team. He is really good at passing the ball but had not made a goal all year in fact I don’t know if he has ever made a goal. I knew it wasn’t because he couldn’t do it he would get the ball to where it needed to be and then let someone else shoot the goal. I bribed him with some money yesterday if he made a goal. He did it in fact he almost made two goals. I was so proud of him. I think he had his best soccer game ever. The team they were playing was good too and it ended up being a tied game.

Super Girl
The weather has been so nice lately that yesterday I really wanted to take some outside pictures before it started raining. Allie is so excited about Halloween this year. I did decide to buy her the store bought costume. I am not sure if I posted about that here but I was going to buy all the pieces seprate but saw the one at the store on sale. It was better quality than what I thought it would and cheaper and so I went with it.

Hello Stephanie

I changed something on my settings and it is working better today but I still am having a few problems. You haven't updated your blog in a long time I would love to see pictures from Wild Life Safari. Well Thank you for reading my blog are you guys coming Kayla's party Saturday?
Camping Trip
At preschool Allie's classroom has been set up with a camping theme. Last week they made these adorable backpacks out of garbage sacks and ribbon and went on a hike. She has been talking about camping a lot and was so excited about going on a hike even though it was just to the playground I heard they found many things along the way. The pictures she drew are of a parrot and kangaroo and I can actually make out a parrot and kangaroo. Her drawings are getting better she defiantly is artistic. This week was the last week of the camping theme and so on Wednesday they got to make smores for the snack. She wanted to set up her tent in the family room and since we never got a chance to do it this summer I said to go ahead and do it. Nick has helped Scott put up the tent several times but was able to do it all by himself this time. I was very impressed. Both Allie and Nick were going to sleep in the tent but Allie wasn't quite ready and ended up sleeping in her bed. We haven't gone camping in awhile Nick has spent a couple of nights at Barton Park with Uncle Jon but as a family we haven't tried it since Allie came home. It would be so much easier with a trailer but maybe next summer we can try it.
Soccer
Alot of our evenings are being spent at soccer games. I have brought my camara to every game but haven't been taking many pictures. I need to try harder to get some better ones. He is really enjoying his season and has moved up to the next age bracket. He is the youngest on the team but is learning a lot. His team has won at least half of the games they played. We have had to sit out in the rain a few times though. I can't wait until basketball starts and we get to be indoors.
