Butterflies

Again I had ordered the butterflies a little bit early next year I will have to wait until school is out to order them. They were ready to go as soon as summer vacation had started. It is amazing that every year they all make it. The are jostled around and poked and prodded at but every time they all make it. Nick was really good at getting them out of the butterfly cage this year. In the past I have just opened the door and eventually they fly out but he was able to cup them in his hand and get them out.

First Day of Summer Vacation

The first Monday of summer vacation I had planned on taking Nick and Allie to see the Reptile Man and then to OMSI for the day. When Nick woke up he decided he didn't want to go see the reptile man he said he all ready knew to much about reptiles and since I wasn't sure what Allie would think of it I decided to pass. We may go try to see him later this summer. I figured we would just go to OMSI well we drive there and OMSI is closed on Monday's I had forgotten that and so we decided to go to the mall because I knew it would be open. Both Nick and Allie had a good time and didn't seem to disappointed.

Bonneville Dam

Bonaville Dam was having free fishing for kids and so we went to catch some fish. We had gone once before when Nick was 3 and I don't think he remembered going at all. This time we had a bunch more kids with us I think there was 7 we didn't get a chance to get a picture of all the kids with their fish. Nick was the only one who was old enough to fish out of the lake everyone else fished out of a big tub full of fish. I had no idea how to clean the fish and so we gave them to Uncle Jon to take them home and smoke them.

Summer Camp

Allie went to summer camp Nick's last week of school. It was at her preschool with her teacher and so she was very comfortable with it and had a lot of fun. The theme of the camp was the ocean. Have you noticed a theme here.

Summer Pets

After Nick got out of school we went to the pet store and picked out our new summer pets. This is Speedo and Dorthy and they both are still doing really well. They are no Fishy though. I don't think we will ever have a fish with as much personality as he had.

Nick's Last Day of School

First day of school in August

Last day of school in June

I forgot to take a picture of him leaving for school that morning at least I got one of him at school. He had another good year. The year went by so fast I am afraid that every year is going to fly by faster and faster. I love the first day of school picture of him. He seems like such a little boy still in it.

Bike Riding

Nick can finally ride his bike without the training wheels. It has taken a lot of practice and we really don't have a good place to ride our bikes around our house. He is getting pretty fast on it and is very proud of himself. Allie is loving her new princess bike and can't wait until we go camping so she can ride her bike with her cousins who have bikes just like hers.

Sprinkler Fun

We finally had a day that was warm enough to play outside in the sprinkler. Scott has a second job right now and is working at Home Depot. This was his first day at work and so I bought the kids a new sprinkler to play in this summer. Allie was not to sure about it but was okay with it as long as Nick is playing with her. They both still love there goggles and wear them all the time when they play in the water. Allie still likes to wear hers all of time. We tend to go through alot of goggles at our house.

Fancy Nancy Party

Back in April when Allie's preschool was having their auction I auctioned off a Fancy Nancy Party for 4 girls to sign up for. In early June it was time for the big day. Allie had a wonderful time her favorite thing was drinking out of real teacups and having a bunch of friends at her house. She would like a pirate party for her birthday next year and so I am glad I got a chance to have a Fancy Nancy party for her.
