A Year of Pictures part 3

After a fun filled summer school and soccer started again in September along with another busy fall season. Nick is in the 5th grade now and Allie is in 1st Grade. This was Allie's first year playing soccer and she loved it.
October was a very busy month but for some reason I did not have time to take as many pictures. I think we went to a total of 3 pumpkin patches this year. Before they are through with school I think I will be to almost every pumpkin patch there is. They dressed up like Ninja Turtles this year and came home with both of there buckets filled to the top. In fact if I go in their room they probably still have some candy stashed somewhere.
In November we started preparing for Christmas and Celebrated Thanksgiving. If felt like a really calm month that time of year is hard for that to happen.
In December we celebrated Nick's 10th birthday. It is hard to believe he is 10 all ready. It was probably one of his worse ones nothing seemed to go right and his presents didn't even arrive on time. I still owe him a birthday party with his friends I think I may do a half birthday in June so we can celebrate at a park. He was happy with everything though. We also celebrated Christmas it was a lot calmer this year and not as many presents but it made it nice and a lot less hectic. I could post a lot more about Christmas I do have lots a picture but I think I am going to just finish this up. So I can start 2014. I can't wait to get the kids outside today and take more pictures in the snow.

A Year of Pictures

May We went to the Tulip Festival and enjoyed the Tulips. Nick and Allie where both in the school play this year and Nick had a lead part.
June Summer vacation began. We had profesional pictures taken at a park and Allie and Harlow had there dance recital.
July We enjoyed summer and Nick and Allie celebrated their Family Day camping at Barton Park.
August This was the summer of swimming. We spent a lot of time at Auntie Jens pool and Nick learned to swim. We also went to the beach and stayed at a beach house. We spent a lot of time flying kites at the beach.

A Year of Pictures 2013

JANUARY Since I didn't update the blog for a whole year. I have decided to do a little update of 2013. I am sure I am going to miss many important events that happened this last year but I will try my best to remember. January started out as being a slow month. Nick and Allie enjoyed New Years Eve as always and both stayed up until midnight. Nick did not play basketball this year which was a nice needed break. Instead he had surgery which took him a lot longer than we thought to recover from. Allie had her first spirit week at school and Grandma even got to go to school for a day with her.
FEBRUARY Allie turned 6 years old and had the best birthday party a 6 year old could have. She had Cinderella come to her birthday party and even got to talk to the Fairy Godmother on the phone. We also celebrated Valentines Day.
MARCH March was a sunny month and we were finally able to get outside again and enjoy the sun. Easter was early this year so we started preparing for Easter.
APRIL Nick started track and so we spent every Saturday at track meets. Landon was baptized and I got to be his Godmother.

Welcome to 2014

It’s that time of year again when everything is starting new again and I realize that I have gone another year with out blogging anything and wish I had. I always start the year off well with big plans of keeping up with it and than I get frustrated with it or run out of time and just give up on it. I do like to do it and would like to keep up with it so I can have memories all in one place and maybe even print off a book for each year. 2013 was a year that I am not sorry is over. I think a lot of people feel this way about it. We have all been extra busy this year. Scott is still working at Warn Industries and only had to work one job this last year. He did have a bunch of health issues over the past year and had heart surgery in early December. He is feeling much better now and hopefully will be feeling much better for 2014. Angela went back to work this last year. She is currently working as a substitute assistant aid for the Oregon City School District. It is only part time but is getting lots of hours and is happy she works the same hours that Nick and Allie are in school and has the same days off that they do. Nick just turned 10 years old in December I can’t believe he is ten all ready. He is doing great in school and is still playing the piano. He is playing basketball this winter and Scott is coaching his team. They both seem to really be enjoying it. His favorite things to do are play games on his IPAD or anything electronic, Legos and Nerf Guns. Allie is 6 years old but will be 7 in a month. She is in the 1st grade and is loving school. She is becoming a great reader and is quiet sociable. Her report card last year said “Allie is not only loved by everyone in Kindergarten but by the whole school. “ That really sums her up she still has her ups and downs but is very social and knows everyone. She played soccer last fall and was quite the dynamite out on the field she gave 100 percent the whole time and was one of the best players on her team. She is still continuing with dance which she loves. I would like to get her into gymnastics but she really wants to do taekwondo which I am sure she would be excellent at.
