Slow Week

This has been a pretty slow week for us. We had planned on going to the beach this weekend but with the rain decided to stay home. Everyone has been sick except for Allie and I think if she would slow down for a minute she would probably have it too. We did go to the Woodburn Outlet Mall today and I tried to take some pictures but it was to busy. I did get the rest of Allie's summer clothes I think the only thing I am still looking for is a red jacket and I will be done. She didn't get a nap today though and it has shown. We are not ready to give them up yet. Nick only has 9 days of school left until he is a second grader. That seems so old. Allie has her first preschool playdate tommorow and hopefully Nick will have at least one baseball game or practice this week.

Nick's Charleston Play and Harlow Baptism

This morning was Harlow’s Baptism. She is growing up so fast. She was baptized after church and then we went to lunch afterwards. A friend of Nick’s from school was also baptized today and so we also got to watch her be baptized. Nick’s school play The Charleston was also this weekend. This was the first time he ever did anything like this and he did a great job. It made for a very busy weekend. Nick’s fish Fishy also died this weekend. Usually I don’t care when one of our fish die because they last any where from a week to 3 months and they die. Well Nick received Fishy for his birthday when he was 3 years old and now is 6 so I think we had him for 3 ½ years. That is the longest time I have ever own a fish. He was a unique fish too who liked to swim on his side and upside down and I have thought he was dead many times but you would tape on the glass and he would keep swimming. Nick seems to be okay about it we let him burry him in the backyard. We have been talking lately that Fishy is getting old and we probably would not have him much longer. He didn’t want to flush him down the toilet or throw him away which is usually what I have done in the past. I will miss this fish and we will probably never have another one quite like him.

Update

Life has been very busy lately. There has not been much time to blog at all. I did finally get my cameras back and so I will update with some pictures. Nick has been very busy this week with play practice everyday. I am glad it has been raining because baseball has been cancelled everyday so it has made the week a little easier. Allie has been a good trooper this week sitting still while Nick is at play practice. I feel bad for her lately she is having to sit still and watch him a lot. She does say she is ready to go to kindergarten so she can be in the play. I think we will start with Preschool. Last week she went and visited her Preschool and loved it. Her favorite things were riding the bikes and playing in the dry beans and rice. Scott and Harlow had their birthdays last Friday. This year has gone by so fast I can’t believe Harlow is 1 all ready. Nick picked a Super Mario theme for Scott’s birthday and was very excited when he opened his presents and there was a new Super Mario game. We were going to take the kids to the Teddy Bear parade in Oregon City on Saturday but Nick ended up having a baseball game which he played great in I am sorry I missed it and I ended up helping with 1st Communion. We did take the kids down to the festival later that day. Nick had fun jumping on the trampoline and driving the race car. Allie was not to sure of the pony this time but ended up riding it anyway. She also liked the petting zoo. Nick also lost his second tooth this week. I was afraid we might have to go to the dentist and have it pulled because the permanent tooth was coming in behind it but it was getting loose and was ready to come out. The tooth fairy only brought $2.00 this time.
