1st Week of Summer

Well even though the weather still thinks it’s February summer vacation is finally here. This year has gone by so fast I can’t believe Nick is going to be a second grader next year. This week wasn’t suppose to be very busy but I think we covered a lot of fun activities in a week.
The Saturday after school got out Nick was invited to two birthday parties. One was at a train park were they have kid trains they can ride on. I had heard of it before but have never been. It was a lot of fun we will definitely have to go back someday. The next birthday party was at a swimming pool and was also a lot of fun.
Allie had an art class on Monday and so Nick got to go with us. I let them play at a park nearby before going to art class luckily it wasn‘t raining yet. They both seemed to enjoy art class and there was only one other child besides them and so they had almost the whole room to themselves.
On Wednesday Allie’s Preschool had a play date at a park. It was Pirate day and the teacher came to the park to read them some stories about Pirates and the kids got to draw tattoos on their arms when she was done. Nick really enjoyed it. Allie was done being a Pirate and wanted to be a girl again.
Nick finally gets to play baseball again. I finally got to take some pictures of him. My camera had been broken and they have not played any games since I got it back.
The new spray park opened today. We had a picnic lunch at the park and then went to play in the water after they opened it. Both kids seemed to really enjoy it and I am sure we will be using it again soon.
Life has been very busy for us again. I have gone back to work and am working from home in the evenings and so I don’t know how much time I am going to have to keep up the blog. I will try my best to update it at least once a week. Hope everyone is having a good summer.

Washington Park and Zoo

A couple of weeks ago we had a free Saturday and the weather was nice and so we took the kids to Washington Park to play. We had planned on just going to Washington Park but ended up going to the Rose Garden and riding the train to the Zoo. As you can tell in the pictures Allie was getting pretty tired towards the end she fell asleep on the way home. It was a fun day and I am hoping we will have more sunny days soon. I am so tired of the rain.

Birthday Party

On Saturday we went to Nick and Allie counsins 2nd Birthday. Allie was very excited about the presents and had fun riding the bikes they had. Her feet actually reached this one. I will have to see if I can put blocks on her bike.

Caterpillars

I had order caterpillars on line a few weeks ago and they arrived this week. The last time I tried to do this they arrived when I was in China and so Nick and Grandma got to have all the fun. They have made their cocoons now and so we will have to wait and see if they turn into butterflies. It has been exciting to see them change.

Making Brownies

Allie

Allie had her first preschool playdate this week. It has been raining alot lately and we lucked out this day and didn't have any rain. We had never been to this park before and will have to go back with Nick it was a lot of fun. I am sad that she is not going to be going to school where Nick goes but I think this preschool is going to be very good for her. She is very excited about going to school and can't wait to make some new friends this summer.

Our little Rock Star!

Funny Faces and a love for bandaids.

Allie decided that she needed to wear her bathrobe everyday this week. It's a cute christmas bathrobe with monkeys on it but we got lots of comments on it when we wore it out in public. She has really been in the christmas mood lately and with the weather we are having I am starting to think it is December. She has seemed to have forgoten about it now we will see how long that last for.

Ready for a tea party.
