1st Week of Summer

Well even though the weather still thinks it’s February summer vacation is finally here. This year has gone by so fast I can’t believe Nick is going to be a second grader next year. This week wasn’t suppose to be very busy but I think we covered a lot of fun activities in a week.
The Saturday after school got out Nick was invited to two birthday parties. One was at a train park were they have kid trains they can ride on. I had heard of it before but have never been. It was a lot of fun we will definitely have to go back someday. The next birthday party was at a swimming pool and was also a lot of fun.
Allie had an art class on Monday and so Nick got to go with us. I let them play at a park nearby before going to art class luckily it wasn‘t raining yet. They both seemed to enjoy art class and there was only one other child besides them and so they had almost the whole room to themselves.
On Wednesday Allie’s Preschool had a play date at a park. It was Pirate day and the teacher came to the park to read them some stories about Pirates and the kids got to draw tattoos on their arms when she was done. Nick really enjoyed it. Allie was done being a Pirate and wanted to be a girl again.
Nick finally gets to play baseball again. I finally got to take some pictures of him. My camera had been broken and they have not played any games since I got it back.
The new spray park opened today. We had a picnic lunch at the park and then went to play in the water after they opened it. Both kids seemed to really enjoy it and I am sure we will be using it again soon.
Life has been very busy for us again. I have gone back to work and am working from home in the evenings and so I don’t know how much time I am going to have to keep up the blog. I will try my best to update it at least once a week. Hope everyone is having a good summer.
