New Years Eve

We all had a lot of fun on New Years Eve. Nick and Allie sure know how to party. Nick again stayed up until midnight I know I wasn’t able to stay up that late at his age. Allie made it until 11:45 we tried to get her to go to bed earlier but there was no way she was going too. She didn’t realize that if she could have lasted another 15 minutes she would have made it to midnight. It has been so hard to get her to go to sleep lately but it has never taken this long. It is not just the extras of Christmas it has been a struggle for a while. Maybe her New Years resolution can be going to bed at a decent time and waking up at a decent time. She still takes good naps but just can’t sleep well at night. I might try giving up the naps but I don’t think she is ready for that yet either.
Grace and Avery had come over earlier in the week to play and we made New Years Eve hats to get ready for New Years Eve. On New Year’s Eve we went to the Children’s Museum to celebrate New Year’s Eve early. It was really crowded but still was fun and they had changed it around a little bit so there were new things to discover.
We went out to dinner with my family and than Uncle Ben, Aunt Becky, Harlow and Grandma came over to play bingo and the party started. Allie and Harlow had fun riding the pony and reading The Hungry Caterpillar while everyone else played bingo. Out of $20 of lottery tickets we only won $2.00 kind of explains the year we had. I hope for a luckier 2011.
